About the Show

Roy Garibaldi
Your Host: Roy Garibaldi
A former world-renown sports and celebrity photographer, Garibaldi worked for the San Francisco Giants, Oakland A’s, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Dodgers. He photographed some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment. Celebrities include Wayne Newton, Kathy Ireland, Pamela Anderson, Elton John, Cher, Mick Jagger, Michael Jordan, Willie Mays and Joe Montana.
In 1996, Garibaldi got in front of the camera for the first time hosting the national “Air Hammer Infomercial”. The success of the long-running golf club infomercial propelled him into a weekly golf radio talk show and then as a host of Golf Talk on Fox Sports Net from 1998-2000.
In 2000, Garibaldi created “The Positive Side of Sports” radio show. The unique format highlighted athletes and their accomplishments, hobbies and charities with candor and humor. Regular celebrity co-hosts included famous sports figures and local personalities. After it’s debut in February of 2000, the one of a kind show quickly became the most listened to sports talk radio show in Arizona.
Building on the success of “The Positive Side of Sports”, Garibaldi recently incorporated entertainment, health, relationship and general interest segments into the show, while maintaining the “positive” theme of his original concept. The new show title, “The Positive Side of Life, Sports & Entertainment” reflects the exciting changes to the format of the radio show.
On October 16, 2009, Garibaldi’s new “Positive Side of Life, Sports & Entertainment” debuted as a thirty-minute television show on Fox 10, one of the top-rated television stations in Phoenix.
In addition to his radio and television shows, Garibaldi dedicates a large amount of his time to local and national charities, including his own 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, “The Positive Side of Sports Foundation”.
